Albert Bigalk, 86, Funeral Held Here Tuesday

Funeral service were held in the First Evangelical United Brethren church yesterday (Tuesday) morning for Albert Otto Bigalk, 86, of Cresco, who died in the Cresco hospital Saturday morning.

Conducting the service was the Rev. Dean Tlmm of Waverly, and burial was in the Cedar Hill cemetery. The Bradley Funeral home had charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Bigalk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bigalk, was born near Saritoga, April 6, 1878. He was united in marriage to Olga Walter November 15, 1904. Mr. and Mrs. Bigalk became the parents of three children.

They made their home on a farm north of Cresco for 42 years. On retiring in 1948 they moved to Cresco to make their home.

Mr. Bigalk was member of the Evangelical United Brethren church.

Surviving Mr. Bigalk are his wife; one son, Delbert of Cresco, and one daughter, Mrs. Orlando (Violet) Brokken. There are four grandchildren, including Manley of Cresco and Ann, Gayleen and Terry at home, and three brothers, Paul and Richard Bigalk of Harmony, and Fred Bigalk of Cresco.

Preceding Mr. Bigalk in death were one brother, Herman, who died in September 1965; one sister, Louise, who died at the age of three years; one son, Manley, who died in September 1919, and one grandson, Larry, who died in June 1962.
