Mrs. Roy Dempewolf, 80, Funeral Held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Roy Dempewolf, 80, of Cresco, who died in the Cresco hospital Friday morning, were held at the Cresco Methodist church Monday afternoon. Mrs. Dempewolf had been in failing health the past year.

Conducting the funeral services was the pastor, the Rev. George Baker. Burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery with the Bradley Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dempewolf, the former Jennie Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Davis, was born near Lime Springs, Oct. 14, 1886. She was united in marriage with Roy Dempewolf Jan. 8, 1918. Mr. and Mrs. Dempewolf established their home on a farm near Plymouth Rock, later moving to their present farm home north of Cresco.

Mr. and Mrs. Dempewolf became the parents of four children, including Evelyn, who lives at home, Virgil Dempewolf of Spring Valley, Minn., Mrs. John (Irene) Krueger of Cresco, and Morris Dempewolf of Lime Springs.

Surviving Mrs. Dempewolf, in addition to her husband and children, are eight granddaughters; one brother, John Davis, and one sister, Jessie Davis, both of Lime Springs.

Preceding Mrs. Dempewolf in death were her parents and one brother.
