William Frederick Krueger

Funeral Services for William Krueger, 91, At Zion Evangelical

Funeral services for William Frederick Krueger, 91, life-long resident of Albion township, who died in the Cresco hospital last Tuesday evening following an illness of nine months, were held in the Zion Evangelical United Brethren church Friday afternoon.

Conducting the services was the Rev. Dean Timm, pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery with the Bradley Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Krueger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Krueger, was born in Albion township November 20, 1873. He attended the Nichols rural school and was married to Ada Mae Fox, October 6, 1897. Mr. and Mrs. Krueger became the parents of nine children.

Mr. Krueger spent his entire life in Howard county where he farmed. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical United Brethren church.

Surviving Mr. Krueger are seven children, including Mrs, Carl (Vilda) Mandelko of Preston, Mrs. Carl (Inez) Gunnelson of Cambridge, Wisconsin, Eldon Krueger of Cresco, Mrs. Alvin (Naomi) Sommer of Stillman Valley, Illinois, Mrs. Jack (Lanora) Lingbeck of Cresco, Merlyn Krueger of Waterloo, and Mrs. Lyle (Violet) Reinhart of Cresco.

There are 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, besides one brother, Daniel Krueger of Cresco, and two sisters, Mrs, W. H Cook of Cresco, and Mrs. Frank Luhsman of Centurla, Wisconsin.

Preceding Mr. Krueger in death were his wife, who died August 5, 1958; two daughters, Florence and Myrtle; four grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Edward Krueger, and two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Henderson and Mrs. Henry Klomp.
