Edwin F. Smith, 69, Funeral at Harmony

Edwin F. Smith, 69, a long time rural Harmony resident, died April 10 at Veteran's hospital in Tomah, Wis., where he had been hospitalized for the past four years.

Born June 28, 1900, in Howard County, he married Myrtle DeGreve in June 1931 at Spring Valley. She died in 1940. Mr. Smith was a retired farmer and a member of American Legion post of Harmony.

Survivors are two sons, Gene of Rochester, Minn, and Roger of Nelson, Wis., 11 grandchildren, two brothers, Alfred of Granger, and Wesley of Cheyenne, Wyo., and also a sister, Mrs. George Gooch of Otterbein, Ind.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Abraham Funeral Parlors in Harmony with burial in Cedar Hill cemetery.
