Kenneth Lueschow, Sr.

Kenneth A. Lueschow, Sr., 72, of Cresco, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 28, at Immanual Lutheran Church in Cresco, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bruce Robert officiating.

Burial was at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco. The Lindstrom Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Kenneth was born July 20, 1928, in Edgar, Wis., the son of Arthur and Emmy (Borchardt) Lueschow. He was one of three children born to this marriage. He attended school in the Edgar area.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Shirley Bauman April 30, 1955, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Edgar, Wis. In 1965 they moved to Cresco, where Kenneth and Shirley owned and operated the Cresco Ag. Market.

Then Kenneth became an independent grain dealer and they had their own trucking business. In later years, he worked at Northern Auto Systems until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Cresco; three sons, Kenneth W. Jr. and Wendy Lueschow of Cresco, Kelvin and Jodi Lueschow of Cresco, and Kent and Roxanne Lueschow of Gillette, Wyo.; two daughters, Kay and Dale Praska of Gillette, Wyo., and Karla and Steve Baumler of Waucoma; 15 grandchildren; one brother, James and Dorothy Lueschow of Madison, Wis.; one sister, Caroline and Herbert Passehl of Edgar, Wis.; and two step-brothers, Leondard Leffle of Fenwood, Wis., and Marvin and Nancy Leffle of Colby, Wis.

Kenneth Lueschow was preceded in death by his parent and his step-mother, Myrtle.
