Funeral Services Held for Mary Caroline Arndt, 94

Funeral services were held Friday, July 2, 1971 in St. Peter's Lutheran church of Riceville for Mary Caroline Arndt, 94, who passed away on Wednesday, June 30 in the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage, The Reverend Bertrand Hinrichs officiated at the service.

Mrs. Arndt was born on November 20, 1876 in Germany. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Edd (Gertrude) Rieken; Mrs. Herb (Heddie) Fouts; and Mrs. George (Eda) Rieken, all of Riceville; Mrs. Walter (Martha) Timmermann, Eagle Grove, Iowa; and Mrs. Howard (Minnie) Penny, Little Cedar, Iowa; four sons, Arthur, Walter, and Edward, all of Riceville and Albert, Maynard, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph; her parents, two sisters, and four brothers.

Internment was in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville with the Chisholm Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
