Mrs. Emma Babcock died at her home in Riceville, Iowa, on Monday June 14, 1920.
The deceased was born in Milford, Wisonsin, Feb. 12th, 1861. The family came west in 1866 when she was six years of age, and later, or about forty years ago, they located in New Hampton, Iowa. This was their home until the death of Mrs. Babcock's mother several years ago.
Emma Wilson was united in marriage to William E. Babcock Sept. 17th, 1885. For a time they resided in New Hampton but later removed to Elma and for more than twenty years their home had been in Riceville, Iowa. During their residence in Riceville they had contracted many close friendships among the people of this community. Several weeks ago the health of the deceased began to fail, and it soon became apparent that a mortal disease was upon her. All was done that medical skill and tender nursing could do to restore her to health, but without avail, and during the foremoon of June 14th, 1920) death came.
