Little Rena Henrietta Augusta Schahn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schahn, was born in Oak Dale, Jan. 16, 1911, and passed away at her home Jan. 26, 1916, at the age of five years and ten days. She was taken sick on Jan. 16, the day of her fifth birthday, with a bad cold, followed with that dread disease pneumonia, from which she never rallied. All that medical skill and loving hands could do was done, but to no avail. It was her time and she must go to the home which was waiting for her, where she will suffer no more.

She leaves to mourn her sad death a loving father and mother, two sisters and one brother who will miss her so much. Her place can never be filled in the home which is broken up by her going from the rest.

A loving one from us is gone
A voice we loved is stilled
A place is vacant in our home
Which never can be filled.
