REV. PHILLIPS PASSES AWAY

The sad news reached here Thesday of the death of Rev. Geo. Phillips, former pastor of the Free Methodist church here but now of Armstrong, Iowa. Tuesday of last week he was taken with an attack of appendicitis, and an immediate operation seemed necessary. The patient was taken to a hospital at Esterville where an operation was performed Friday and on Monday the end came. Mr. Phillips was an earnest worker and while here made many warm friends who express the deepest sympathy for the bereaved family.
