A telegram was received Thursday announcing the sudden death of Mrs. Dr. Skiff, who was a former resident of this place.

Orpha Jane Wilkes was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilkes. She was married to Mason J. Skiff and they were residents of this place for about ten years. She died at her home in Ashtadula, Ohio, July 19, 1905. Mrs. Skiff has been suffering for the past few years, but was comparatively better and seemed to be feeling real well until about two hours before her death. She leaves to mourn her death, a husband, one daughter, an aged mother, three brothers and many friends.
