Married.
On Monday, Feb. 19th, at 10 o’clock, at the Church of the Assumption, occurred the marriage of Edna Long and Fred Shields. The bridal couple were attended by Miss Winifred and Thos. Long. Miss Kathryn Long and Helen Dvorak dressed in pink silk acted as flower girls. Rev. Father Murtagh officiated at the ceremony.
The bride was charmingly dressed in white silk with shadow lace and pearls. The bridesmaid wore a beautiful apple green silk trimmed in shadow lace. The groom and best man were dressed in dark blue serge. After the ceremony, dinner was served at the bride’s home to one hundred and fifty relatives and friends of both parties, after which the rooms were cleared and dancing engaged in until the wee hours of morning.
The bride and groom both have spent most of their lives near Howard Center and have many friends who wish them much joy and prosperity.
A Friend.
