Weds at Alta Vista.
A very pretty wedding took place at the Saint Bernards Church of Alta Vista, Iowa, on Wednesday the seventh day of Feb. 1917, when Emma Koshatke gave her hand in marriage to Chas. Haskovec and were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony. Promptly at 9:30 a. m. the bridal party marched to the altar where Rev. Father Zeyne pronounced the words which made this young couple husband and wife. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Koshatke and is a sensible young lady, and will make an excellent helpmate for the young man of her choice. She was becomingly attired in a white gown of silk crepe de chien, and wore a veil with a wreath also. The bride was attended by her sister Ragenia who wore a gown of cream serge. The groom were{sic} the conventional black and was attended by his brother James. This announcement will be read with pleasure by the host of friends of this worthy couple. After the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride’s parents and enjoyed a sumptuous dinner. This wedding being a very quiet affair only the immediate relatives on both sides were present and also a few intimate friends. The groom is the son of Mrs. J. Haskovec and is a young man of sterling worth; he needs no introduction to the people of this community, for he grew to manhood in our midst and is one of the thriving, progressive young farmers of the community.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Haskovec will commence housekeeping immediately on the groom’s farm. Heartiest congratulations and best wishes is the wish of their host of friends and relatives and may a long life of happiness and prosperity be their portion.
