On Dec. 28th, at 6 p. m., at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Bowden, was celebrated a pretty home wedding, at which time Everett Phillips and Miss Lila Bowden, both of this place, were united in marriage. Rev Rutherford, pastor of the M. E. church of this place, performed the ceremony which made the happy couple one. Only immediate friends were present. The young people begin their married life with the best wishes of their many friends. They are to reside on a farm north of here.
