Married in North Dakota.
From the Jamestown, N. D., Alert we take the following account of the marriage of a young man who formerly resided near Granger, Minn., the son of Andrew E. Michel.
At St. John’s Lutheran church Wednesday, June 30th at 2 o’clock occurred the marriage of Miss Anna Caroline Burkard, only daughter of Mrs. Bertha Burkard of this city, to Ervine Raymond Michel of this county.
The church and altar were prettily decorated with roses and foliage. As the bridal party entered the wedding march was rendered by Miss Frances Frey, and Rev. E. C. Hess, pastor of the church read the wedding service in the presence of numerous friends and relatives.
The bride was attended by the groom's sister, Miss Lenore Michel, whose gown was of pink chiffon over cream silk shadow lace and she wore a hat to match. The bridal gown was of white crepe de chine with trimmings of chiffon and pearls and the tulle veil was caught with smilax and lillies of the valley. The bride carried a shower boquet of bride’s roses and lillies, while the bridesmaid carried pink roses. August Wilhelm, cousin of the bride was the best man.
Fifty friends and relatives attended the reception held at the Michel farm home following the wedding. Pink and white carnations and roses were used for the decorations of the house. The out of town guests were Miss Emma and Herman and Richard Wilhelm of Casselton.
Mr. and Mrs. Michel will go to housekeeping on the groom's farm four miles south of town, where a new set of building are are{sic} being rapidly completed.
The bride has taught the past three years since her graduation from the Jamestown high school, in the rural schools of the county.
The groom is the oldest son of A. E. Michel, who resides south of the city and is a well known young farmer.
