Cresco Young People Wed.
Tuesday morning at the Church of the Assumption at 9 o’clock Miss Nellie Geraty, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Geraty and Mr. Gilbert Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allen, of Dubuque were united in marriage by Rev. Fr. Murtagh. The bride was attired in a handsome gown of white silk crepe du chien with a dainty veil prettily draped and carried a bouquet of white roses and lillies of the valley.
The only attendants were two little flower girls in the persons of Genevieve Baldwin and Alethea Klein. After the ceremony a three course wedding breakfast was served at the Geraty home.
The bride is one of Cresco popular young ladies and has a host of friends.
The groom was formerly a resident of Dubuque but has lived in Cresco for the past two years, having been employed as salesman in his uncle’s shoe store and now holds a similar position at the Hub Clothing store. He is a young man of good habits and is held in high esteem by all who know him.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen will reside in Cresco for the present. The Plain Dealer extends congratulations.
