On Sunday, March 7th, a company of relatives and friends gathered at the home of Henry Smith to remind them of their 25th wedding anniversary. A. H. Rucker, in a few well chosen words, presented them with a full set of silverware, a dinner set and two rocking chairs. At noon a bounteous dinner was served to which all did ample justice.
They day was spent in social chat and merry-making and all departed in the early evening, declaring Mr. and Mrs. Smith royal entertainers, and wishing them many anniversaries to come.
