MARRIED.
Last Tuesday at 9:30 at the Church of the Assumption occurred the marriage of Miss Abbie Malanaphy to Mr. John Fitzgerald, Rev. Father T. J. Murtagh officiating. The bride wore a beautiful white gown of shadow lace, with white picture hat to match, and was attended by the groom’s sister, Miss Emily Fitzgerald, who wore a green crepe de chene gown. Hugh Malanaphy, brother of the bride, acted as best man. After the ceremony they departed to the home of the bride where a three course dinner was served. The table was beautifully decorated with pink carnations and smilax. Only the immediate relatives and friends were present.
The bride is the oldest daughter of Mrs. M. Malanaphy and has grown to womanhood here.
The groom is the oldest son of Mrs. and Mrs. John Fitzgerald and is well worthy of the bride he has won. The young couple were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents. They will begin housekeeping about the first of March on the groom’s farm east of town. We join with their many friends in hearty congratulations.
