A very pretty home wedding occurred Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Taft, when their daughter Lois was united in marriage to Alfred Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Smith, the cerremony{sp} being performed by Rev. Soper of Cresco; only the relatives being present. These young people have grown to young manhood and womanhood in our vicinity and are held in the highest esteem by all. The groom is a young farmer of good habits and all the qualities that go to make a good husband; the bride is a young lady of sterling qualities that will make the young man she has chosen for a partner through life a good and loving wife. We learn this young couple will depart soon for their future home in Cresco, acccompanied{sp} by the best wishes of a host of friends.

The bride looked very charming in a beautiful white wool dress. Miss Taft is a young lady whose friends are numbered by her acquaintances. She has grown to womanhood in this vicinity. Mr. Smith is a young farmer of integrity. Mr. and Mrs. Smith will have the best wishes of a host of friends for a happy married life. They will probably reside in Cresco for the winter. The PLAIN DEALER ex¬tends the kindest wishes to them.
