Mingus-Salisbury Nuptials.
To-day, at high noon, took place the wedding of Miss Florence Mingus, of this city, daughter of Mrs. Nellie Mingus, to Mr. Herbert J Salisbury, of Cresco, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Salisbury, the ceremony being performed by Rev. Leach of Minneapolis, formerly pastor of the local Christian church. Miss Edna Mingus, a sister of the bride, was the maid of honor, while Mr. Harry Mattison, an uncle of the bride, gave her away.
The color scheme was green and white, and the house was beautifully decorated with ferns and flowers. Following the wedding, a delightful, three-course wedding luncheon was served to the guests. Besides a few intimate friends from this city, there were present Rev. and Mrs. Leach, of Minneapolis, Mrs. Henry C. Salisbury, Miss Helen Williams, of Ft. Dodge, Miss Frances Swab, of Cedar Rapids, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mattison, of West Branch.—Iowa City (Iowa) Citizen, Saturday, October 5, 1912.
