Thompson-Kratz Nuptials.
At the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kratz, in Cresco, at high noon, Wednesday, September 25th, occurred the marriage of their daughter Miss Jessie Mae Kratz to Mr. E. P. Thompson; Miss Mable Kratz and Mr. J. H. Burgess, serving as attendants, and Miss Myrtle Schild presiding at the piano.
The happy words that bound these two hearts and lives as one were spoken by Rev. L. N. Day, of the Evangelical church. Only immediate relatives were present to witness the ceremony, after which an elegant three course luncheon was served.
Mr. Thompson was born in Cresco, and is a young man of sterling qualities; at present, he is associated with his father, E. R. Thompson, in the abstract and real estate office. His bride, Miss Kratz, is a young lady of grace and fine accomplishments.
By auto, they went to Riceville to take the train for Minneapolis. Later they will return to Cresco where they will make their home.Source: Twice-A-Week Plain Dealer Oct. 1, 1912, P-LP, C-5
