Mr. and Mrs. John Greenhalgh celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on Friday last, the gathering consisting of a large number of the old settlers of this vicinity, old schoolmates, and a sprinkling of more recent acquaintances and friends. A sumptuous dinner was served, the wedding cake was passed, and the afternoon was spent in social conversation and music. In behalf of the assembled guests, Rev. Gammons presented Mr. and Mrs. Greenhalgh with a fine book case and secretary. With the singing by all of “God be with you till we meet again,” the guests departed at the close of the day wishing Mr. and Mrs. Greenhalgh a recurrence of many more happy wedding anniversaries.
