Gardner-Walton Wedding.
Wednesday evening, the 16th, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walton, of Orleans twp., occurred the marriage of their daughter Frankie, to Mr. Arthur Z. Gardner, the beautiful and impressive marriage ceremony being performed by Rev. Young of Ridgeway, in the presence of a very large number (nearly 150) of relatives, neighbors and friends, whose congratulations, at the close of the ceremony, were most hearty and sincere. The bridal couple were attended by Joseph Walton, brother of the bride, and Miss Mabel Pollett. The wedding march was played by W. J. Mead and Mrs. Pearl Mead.
Every preparation had been made for a good time, and following the ceremony the guests were seated to a most sumptuous repast, dantily{sp} served at flower decorated tables. As soon as all were served the tables were cleared and the young people enjoyed themselves in dancing until the morning dawn.
Those from a distance attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Cahl and daughter from Minneapolis, Miss Eva Conway of Oelwein, and Lloyd and Lottie Christen of Decorah.
The wedding presents were very numerous, useful and valuable.
The young couple will make their home on the Christen farm in that township, and will be followed to their new home by the best wishes of the host of friends and acquaintances who have known them from childhood.
