MARRIED.
On Wednesday afternoon, March 16th, at 2:00 o’clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Farnsworth near Cresco, occurred the marriage of their daughter Frances to Mr. Leon L. Lewis, Rev. Young of Ridgeway officiating. The ceremony was witnessed by a company of the relatives and immediate friends of the bride and groom. After congratulations were offered, the guests were served with refreshments. A large number of choice and useful gifts expressed the best wishes of a host of friends.
These young peopl{e} are well know{n} in this community, having grown to manhood and womanhood here, and the incident of their marriage is of unusual interest to their many friends and acquaintances in this vicinity. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Lewis, who resides near Cresco. He is a young man of excellent habits, of thorough industry and sterling worth, and his fidelity to every trust bespeaks for him a successful future. The bride is a young woman who is eminently qualified to unite with Mr. Lewis in the work of life. Her frank and cheerful disposition, her sincere devotion to home duties and her interest in her social circle recommend her as a home maker in the truest sense.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis will make their home on a farm near St. Claude, Manitoba, Canada, where Mr. Lewis has been farming for the past year. They will be greatly missed here, but they go bearing with them the assurance and the best wishes of a wide circle of friends.
