A Quiet Home Wedding.
On Wednesday evening, Aug. 18th, at the residence of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Ole Swenson, occurred the marriage of her daughter, Winnifred, to Mr. Ralph R. Bixler, of North Platte, Neb., Rev. John Gammons officiating. The wedding was a very quiet one, only the immediate family of the bride and Mrs. Gammons being present.
Mr and Mrs. Bixler left the same evening for an extended trip through Indiana by the way of Chicago, where they will visit Mr. Bixler’s people who reside in that city, and will return to North Platte by the 10th of September, where Mr. Bixler is engaged in the clothing business. Mrs. Bixler is not a stranger in North Platte, having previously been engaged as a trimmer in that place for several seasons past.
Mr. Bixler is a young man of sterling character and true worth and very highly respected by all who know him. The bride is one of Cresco’s most estimable young ladies, born and reared here, where she has a host of friends who wish her all possible success and happiness in her new life and her new home.Source: Twice-A-Week Plain Dealer Aug. 24, 1909, FP, C5
