The home of H. H. Sanborn was the scene of a very happy event on Tuesday, Nov. 19th, the occasion being to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Sanborn, of Little Cedar. Heartiest congratulations were extended to the happy bride and groom and a very elaborate dinner was served at 3 o’clock p. m. Mr. Sanborn, on opening his napkin, was very much surprised to find a large white envelope tied with white ribbon and violets with this inscription “For Auld Lang Syne.” The envelope contained their wedding picture of 25 years ago. A bride’s cake lighted with 25 candles which were blown out alternately by the bride and groom was a charming feature of the dinner. The table was decorated with chrysanthemums. The out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Kilburn of Spring Valley, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Landon of Lawler, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Sanborn, of Bonair. Mr. and Mrs. Sanborn were recipients of some very handsome pieces of silver in honor of the anniversary.
