Kellogg-Edwards Nuptials.
The pleasant home of Dr. and Mrs. Geo. H. Kellogg was the scene of a very pretty ceremony, Wednesday morning, when their daughter, Georgia Henrietta, was given in marriage to Mr. George A. Edwards, of St. Paul, Minnesota, the Rev. John Gammons officiating.
A corner of the parlor was artistically converted into a most charming bower, yellow and white chrysanthemums and ferns being used for this effect, while ropes of smilax were effectively draped about it. To this corner, promptly at 10 o’clock the bride and groom, unattended, made their way where they were met by the Rev. Gammons who in a few beautifully chosen words united them in the bonds of matrimony.
The bride was charmingly attired in a gown of white chiffon over white taffeta silk, the gown being effectively trimmed with garnitures of point lace, the work of the bride, while the groom wore the conventional black.
Immediately after the ceremony, the bridal couple and their guests sat down to a perfectly appointed two-course breakfast, to which all did ample justice.
The presents received by the bride and groom testified, both by their number and value, of the sincere regard in which the young people are held by their friends.
The out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mrs. Geo. Freeman and daughter, Mrs. Roy Cobb, of Mason City, Mrs. Alice Kincamon and Mrs. Gink, of Wauzeka, Wis., and the Misses Hannah and Delia Edwards, of St. Paul.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwards left on the 1 o'clock train for their new home at 53 Minnehaha Flats, St. Paul, Minnesota, where they will be at home to their friends after December 1st.
The groom’s parents gave the newly wedded pair a reception at their home, Wednesday evening, to which their young friends of the Twin Cities were invited.
The PLAIN DEALER joins with their hosts of Cresco friends are wishing them an abundance of happiness and prosperity in their future life.
