Frank J. Lickteig and Louise B. Steffen were married on Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's church, Cresco, by Rev. Loosebrock. We are promised a detailed account of the wedding for our next issue.

Well Known Young Couple of Howard
County are Married in Cresco.
On Tuesday, Sept. 24, 1907, at St. Joseph’s church occurred the marriage of Miss Louisa Steffen to Mr. Frank Lickteig, Rev. H. J. Loosebrock being the officiating clergyman.
The bridal couple were attended by Miss Jennie Steffen, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, and Mr. Joseph Lickteig, brother of the groom, as groomsman. The bride was attired in white China silk and carried a large bouquet of pink roses; the bridesmaid wore white Persian lawn. The groom and his attendant wore the usual black.
Following the ceremony, a very hearty reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Steffen, living one and one half mile west of town. The dining room was beautifully decorated with pink and white drapeing, where the numerous guests partook of the sumptuous wedding repast that had been prepared.
The groom is a well known young man of Howard County and is liked by all who know him. The young bride who he has won for his wife is a charming young lady of this county and has a host of friends. They were the recipients of numerous useful and costly presents.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lickteig will commence housekeeping on a farm six miles southwest of Cresco, owned by the groom, and where the congratulations and well wishes of their many friends, in which the PLAIN DEALER joins, will follow this estimable young couple.
Those from a distance who were present at the wedding were Mesd. Rose Studer and Anna Loebig, of Wesley, la., Mrs. Lou Schlisner, of Garner, la., Mrs. Leo Domes and Miss Lenora Domes, of Dubuque, la., Mrs. Samuel Strief, of Epworth, la., Mr. John Steffen and Miss Emma Steffen, of Lattnerville, Iowa.
