Married.
On Wednesday afternoon, June 26th, occurred a quiet wedding in which the principals were Mr. Herbert P. Durfey and Miss Ruth Schaefer. The ceremony took place at the residence of the officiating clergyman in Cresco, Rev. W. R. Hill, and was witnessed by only the the{sic} immediate relatives. In the evening a wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Schaefer, which was attended by a large number of invited guests. Refreshments were served the guests on the lawn. The young couple were the recipients of many fine and valuable presents.
For the present they will make their home with the parents of the bride. The groom is a young man of good character and industry who is well worthy of the bride he has won. She has a host of friends among the young people of her acquaintance and in the the(sic} church society in which her musical talents have been in demand.
The PLAIN DEALER joins the other friends in hearty and sincere congratulations.
