A Pleasant Surprise.
Last Thursday, the 26th, was the twentieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Forry, and some of their neighbors and friends who had knowledge of the date planned a surprise on them to properly commemorate the event. By a preconcerted arrangement, the greater part of the invited company met simultaneously at their very door and entered their door yard and home to the complete surprise of the family, who however, were equal to the occasion and rallied nicely after the first shock.
The evening was spent in music, feasting and a general good time, the guests remaining until a late hour. Nearly all of the members of the W. O. W. Orchestra were present with their instruments and furnished considerable entertainment.
As a token of the esteem in which the worthy couple are held by their neighbors and friends, Rev. Hill was delegated by the assembled company to present them with an elegant extension table and set of dining room chairs and a full set of silver knives and forks.
