Golden Wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Sam Reinhart celebrated their golden wedding at their home in Cresco, May 19, 1906.
Mr. Reinhart is about 74 years of age. He was born in Switzerland and did not come to this country until he was eighteen years of age. Mrs. Reinhart, who was Annie Lehman, was also a native of Switzerland. She came to this country with her parents when she was quite young. This couple were married in Elgin, Ia., May 19, 1856. They first settled in Clayton County and later in Fayette. From there they moved to Howard County near the present site of the village of Schley. They lived on this farm twenty-five years and then moved to Cresco where they have been the past eleven years.
They are the parents of twelve children, eleven of whom are living; Mrs. C. F. Smith, Alta Vista; Mrs. J. Butz, Ridgeway; Mrs. Helmerdinger, Howard County; Mrs. Gus Ohmach, Cresco; Lydia, Cresco; Albert, on a farm near Alta Vista; L. L., Alta Vista; John, Ridgeway; Sam, Alta Vista; Willie and Freddie on farms near Schley.
All of the children with their families were present at the golden wedding. D. J. Cawelti and wife were also present. The old folks were taken completely by surprise. They were made the recipients of many valuable presents commemorative of the occasion. In return they made each one of the children a cash present of $200,— Elma New Era.
