MARRIED.—Tuesday morning, Oct. 10th, at the Catholic Church at Lourdes occurred the marriage of Bertha Steffen, of this place, to Sam Strief, of Dubuque, Iowa. Susie Steffen, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and Jake Steffen, of Dubuque {line missing in the fold} the guests returned to the home of the bride where the day was spent in social enjoyment. In the evening the young folks took possession of the hall and a jolly good time was had by all. Mr. and Mrs. Strief will make their home on a farm near Dubuque. May their home be a happy one, and enjoy it long years, is the wish of their many friends.

Transcriber’s Note: Both the groom’s and the bride’s last names are spelled two different ways.
