MARRIED.
Wednesday evening, at the M. E. church at Bonair, Ia., occurred the marriage of Royal Webster Nash, of Lime Springs, and Miss Alta Mae Buchanan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Buchanan, of Bonair.
Promptly at the appointed hour, Miss Belle Nash, at the organ, and Wm. J. Mead, with the violin, commenced the joyous strains of Mendelssohn’s wedding march and to its measured rythym the bridal couple, preceded by little Kathryn Jones and Master Arthur Buchanan, as flower girl and boy, the bridesmaid, Miss Stella Buchanan, and the groom’s best man Mr. Alvin Nash, marched down the aisle to the altar where they were met by Rev. F. P. Shaffer, of Charles City, who in the short but impressive ceremony of the M. E. church, united the young couple in the holy estate of matrimony.
Following the ceremony, the wedding party repaired to the Woodmen Hall, which, like the church, had been decorated for the occasion, and where the guests to the number of nearly two hundred were served with dainty refreshments.
The groom is a son of A. R. Nash, of Lime Spring, and is a young man of good habits, character and industry, who is in every way worthy of the bride he has won. For several years he has been associated with his father in the hardware business, but recently has been at work in Morris, Minn., where the young couple will spend their honeymoon,
Qf the bride, the modesty of family relationship permits us to say but little, save that her many womanly qualities and quiet demeanor have won for her a host of friends who rejoice with her in her happiness.
The presents were numerous, elegant and useful, and will he highly prized by the young couple, not alone for their mere value, but for the hearty good wishes and loving remembrance which accompanied every gift from neighbor, friend and relative.
