Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sullivan’s 55th Wedding Anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sullivan who live with their son Dan Sullivan north of town, celebrated their 55th weddiing{sic} anniversary Sunday, February 14, 1904. All of their children were present, also grand children and great grand children, making a total of fifty-five. Numerous useful and valuable presents were given to the respected couple. Mention may be made of a purse of $40 in gold which was presented by Rev. F. J. Gunn in behalf of the children and grand children.
Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan are both about 81 years, there being but a few months difference in their ages. They were both born in Ireland and moved to this country at an early age. They were married in Clinton, New York, Feb. 14, 1849. They moved to Iowa in 1864. To them were born six children, as follows: Pat, Mary, (Mrs. W. E. Roche), Thos. H., Fddie, Julia (Mrs. Frank Devereaux) and Dan.-—Elma New Era.Added by Joy Moore June 18, 2019

—Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sullivan, living near Elma, celebrated the 55th anniversary of their wedding on the 14th. Of children, grand children and great grand children there were present 55 descendants.
