The home of Mr. and Mrs. N. L. McFarland in this city was the scene of a pleasant little wedding party on Saturday evening, when Mr. Harry Gildersleeve, of Cresco, Ia., and Miss Marie Tollefson, of Jackson, Minn., were joined In matrimony.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. O. T. Langfit, of the Presbyterian church, at eight o'clock in the presence of a small assemblage of relatives and friends.
The ceremony was quite simple and was followed by an enjoyable wedding supper served by Mrs. McFarland.
The newly wedded couple spent Sunday in this city and departed on the Great Northern this morning for Webster, S. D., there to visit with relatives of the bride. They will make their home at Cresco.
Mr. Gildersleeve is engaged in the jewelry business at Cresco, and is spoken of as a prosperous and worthy young man. The bride is an estimable young lady, and a sister of Sam Tollefson, the popular salesman in the local mercantile house of Heilig & Elliot. She has visited in this city and has no small number of friends here who will extend very cordial good wishes.
The above was taken from a Pipestone, Minn., paper and though considerable of a surprise to many was not entirely unexpected.
The groom needs no introduction to Cresco people and besides having a host of friends is universally respected by all. The bride, while not so well, is equally favorably known, and during her short stay here has made many warm friends who will be glad {to} hear of her contemplated permanent residence in this city.
The PLAIN DEALER congratulates this estimable young couple and wishes them a long, happy and prosperous life.

Transcriber’s Note: Both last names are spelled two different ways.
