SCRIPTURE—DAVIS.—At the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Davis, Dr. J. L. Scripture of Cresco and Miss Nella Davis of Clarksville, Iowa, December 6, 1899, Rev. D. Wyllie officiating.
The ceremony was witnessed only by the relatives and intimate friends of the bride and groom.
The bride is one of Butler county’s bright young school teachers and an active member of the M. E. church. The groom is a rising young physician and has many friends in this place, where he was a resident for two years- The best wishes of a host of friends follow them to their new .home.— Clarksville Star.
About twenty of our young people of Cresco met the Doctor and his bride upon their arrival on the Thursday evening train and welcomed them with showers of rice and hearty congratulations
