Silver Wedding.
A large number of neighbors, friends and relatives gathered at the hospitable home of Mr. and Mrs. P. J.Haaf last Saturday afternoon, to celebrate the 25th wedding anniversary of that worthy couple. The host and hostess had their larder well stored with the most palatable viands. A sumptious{sic} feast was spread, and good cheer was not wanting. In the evening the company was reinforced by a crowd of merrymakers, who indulged in music, song and dance until the “wee sma' hours o' midnight.” Mr. and Mrs. Haaf were the recipients of numerous valuable and beautiful presents of silverware. Among the guests present were two brothers of Mrs. Haaf from Wisconsin with their wives and some relatives from Decorah, Iowa. That 25 years hence will find Mr. and Mrs. Haaf celebrating their golden wedding in health and happiness, is the wish of all who were present, in which we heartily join.—News Register.
