Married.
On Tuesday January, 18, 1898, at half past nine o’clock, occured{sic} the marriage of Mr. Thomas Tierney, of Genesee, Idaho, and Miss Anna Drew, of Cresco, Iowa. The ceremony was performed by Rev. M. A. McCarty at the Catholic church of Cresco, Iowa. The bride’s sister, Miss Mary Drew, acted as bride’s maid and Mr. Chas. Reilly as best man.
After the ceremony a wedding feast was served at the home of the bride’s mother at which over a hundred guests were present, after which the company joined in dancing until the wee, small hours of the morning. The bride is a very estimable young lady and has a large circle of friends and acquaintances who all wish her and her husband much happiness in their married life. The groom is a prosperous business man of the locality in which he lives and is in every way worthy of the young lady whom he won for his wife.

J. Flemming, fruit basket; George and Charles Ryan, silver berry dish; Mrs. Michael Burck, of Austin, Minn., set of silver teaspoons; Mr. and Mrs. James Curran, set of silver knives and forks; Wm. Magner and James Drew, silver cake stand; Mr. John Reilly, book; Misses Maggie and Rose Grimes, of Lawler, Iowa, sugar spoon and butter knife; Patrick Reilly toilet set; Miss B. Fitzgerald, head rest; Mr. and Mrs. Chap. Marshall, pickel{sic} dishes; Mrs. Patrick Reilly, table cover; Mr. and Mrs. De Walle, pillow shams and counterpane; Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Clancy, towels; Mr. Thomas Connery, chenneil{sic} table table{sic} cover; Will Chancy, pair of towels; Mrs. John J. Drew, counterpane; Maggie and Eddie Drew, table cloth; Miss Julia Kelly, pair of towels; Thomas Whalen and family, counterpane; Johny and Mary Ellen O’Brien table cloth; Miss Nellie Curran, pair of towels; Misses Mary and Celia Curran, smyrna rug; Mrs. Wm.
