Iowa Plain Dealer January 10, 1884, P3 C34

MARRIED.

CONNOLLY--MULLEN.--At the Catholic Parsonage in Cresco, January 7, 1884 by the Rev. M. A. McCartey, Wm. Connolly M. D., and Miss Kitty Mullen, both of Cresco.

We look upon this as one of the most appropriate unions, view it as you will, that has taken place in our midst in many a day. When "Willie" as a boy, just entering his teens, began business as a clerk in a drug store several years ago, we regarded him as a very old man, and he has not grown any younger since. We have watched him in his journeyings through College in Minnesota, South Bend, Inda., Rush Medical College, Chicago, and his long service in Cook County Hospital. We have always predicted for him a prominence in his profession and since he began to practice among us, we have had no reason to change our opinion. He has taken into partnership one of Cresco's most sensible and accomplished young ladies. That the union may be a long one with nothing but pleasant memories to those interested is the earnest wish of their many friends in this vicinity.
