Helen Thatcher at hospital

Hello,

A lady named Helen Thatcher from Mahaska county was committed to the the hospital in Mt. Pleasant in Aug of 1897. She died in Nov. of 1897 while at the hospital and her body was shipped by train back to Mahaska county for burial. My questions are; Would the hospital have records on her and if so are they available? Would her death have been recorded in Henry County since she died at the hospital? There is nothing in Mahaska county.
