From the 1982 History of Henry County, Iowa, p. 440 there is a biography written by Robert Wendell Hannum about Nelson Converse Wright. I do not know if the Josephine listed here is yours, but I will send the information along anyway.
"Nelson Converse Wright was born in Lincking County, Ohio, March 14, 1819, son of David Wright (Born July 19, 1770 in Ruthland, Vt., died 1873) and his second wife.
Nelson was first married to Lucina "Syna" Stoughton and had four children: Rachel, Nancy, Josephine, and Converse. "Syna" died January 11, 1868, 48 years old.
Nelson lived in the Danville, Iowa area as early as 1840 where he farmed and raised his family. He helped organize the first Methodist Church in 1846. He was on the board of trustees that raised money for the first church building that was built in Danville Center in 1857.
In 1866, the Wright family moved to a farm in Henry County, Iowa, Canaan Township. He then united with the Ebenezer Society, a Methodist Church, until Beulah Chapel, also a Methodist Church, was built 1 1/2 miles south of his home, where he transferred his membership.
The second marriage, October 26, 1869, of Nelson was to Anna Mariah Roberts, born, January 3, 1843, daughter of Edward and Louisa Evans Roberts. They remained on Nelson's farm in Canaan Township, and raised five children: Fred, David, Frank Edward, Hiram Newton, Grace Louise, and Gertrude Ann."
There is also a biography on page 125 of James Washington Bird. It states that an Edward E. Bird was born August 19, 1847 and died in 1920. This may be your Edward. This article was written by Heln Baker Eckles.
I have no connection to any of these families.
