I am looking for more information on the Martin and Elizabeth (Young) Mason family who moved to Washington, Des Moines County, Iowa from Winfield & New London, Henry County, about 1860. They had nine children including George W. Mason (b.1854 - my g-grandfather who came to York County Nebraska in the 1880's),John (b. 1857), Martin(Van Buren) Mason (b. 1862, Charles (b. 1864), Mary Allice (b. 1865 and married Wm. A. Kimball), Belle(b.1868 and married Wm.H.Crandall), Frank (b. 1871), and Dollena (b. 1875 and married H.E. Swarts). My research indicates that many of the children continued to live in Des Moines and Henry county, but I am unable to find any death information for either of the parents, Martin and Elizabeth, or any of the children. I can verify these people's existence from census info.and other family trees, but am unable to locate any birth, marriage, or death info. Any information or directions to look would be appreciated. I would imagine that there are still Mason descendents living in the area.
