I went to the library today and found no evidence of your John Wenning. I looked at the December 1912 newspaper microfilm for some evidence of John Wenning's death and arrival from Ottumwa for his burial. I searched the Forest Home Cemetery burial records and found no WENNING. I searched the St. Alphonsus Cemetery [Catholic Cemetery in the area] and found nothing. I looked at the old Woodlawn/Irishtown Catholic Cemetery records and found nothing. We have a master book of all burials in Henry County...though some errors have been found...and I didn't see the name WENNING listed as a burial anywhere in Henry County. I am unaware of a St. Mary's Cemetery here in Henry County. Could John Wenning be buried in a St. Mary's Cemetery in some other county?
