A Well-Known Old Citizen Passed Away Last Evening

Elisha McCommas, Sr. died at 8:19 o'clock last evening at his residence, No. 1925 Herschler street at the ripe age of seventy-seven years. Deceased was a native of Virginia and had lived in Iowa for thirty four years. He is survived by the widow and four sons, Jefferson, Elisha and Gordon of this city, Thomas, who lives in Arkansas, and sixteen grandchildren. The funeral will probably be held Saturday.
