Frances Lippert
Frances Marie Lippert, 72, of Danville died after an extended illness at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2005, at her home.
Born April 23, 1933, in Danville, she was the daughter of Milton and Theodora Parrott Ritchey. On Sept. 10, 1955, she married LeRoy L. Lippert in Danville.
Mrs. Lippert taught music in Sioux Falls, S.D., for one year and taught music and fourth grade in the Burlington School District for 30 years.
She was a 1951 graduate of Danville High School, attended Iowa Wesleyan, was a graduate of the University of Sioux Falls with a bachelor's degree in music and attended Western Illinois and Kirksville for graduate work. She was a member of Danville First Baptist Church, Danville Lions Club, Danville Garden Club, Retired Teachers Association, Quilt Club, and was the choir director and a member of the Women's Mission Group at the church. She was an excellent seamstress, quilter, knitter and baker and was an avid reader.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Lade Lippert of Danville and Kelly Lippert and Mark Lippert, both of Sioux Falls; one daughter, Carla Snowden of Havana, Ill.; eight grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Chapel in New London, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Lippert will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery in Danville.
Memorials have been established for Danville First Baptist Church, the University of Sioux Falls music department and Great River Hospice.
