Funeral services are being held today, July 17, for Kathryn Eleanor Swarts, 71, Winfield, at the First Presbyterian church in Winfield, with the services conducted by the Rev. Tom Beck. Burial is in Winfield-Scott township cemetery. A memorial fund is being established at the McKasson-Honts funeral home in Winfield.

Mrs. Swarts died July 14 at the Sunrise Terrace Care center in Winfield.

Mrs. Swarts was born to Francis and Edythe Jessup Haight Feb. 12, 1909, in Winfield. She married Clone Swarts June 30, 1932, at Memphis, Mo. She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian church, member of UPW Fedelis Class Philo Bee, member of the Round Grove club and Mary Circle and a lifetime resident of Winfield.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Delmar (Sandra) Gade, Clarence; one son, Norris Haight, Winfield; 2 grandchildren, Brian and Lisa Gade; 2 sisters-in-laws, Margaret Haight and Dorotha Haight; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
