DEATH OF CHARLES KELLOGG.
Charles Kellogg, for over forty years an esteemed resident of this city, a stone cutter by occupation, died on Saturday morning at 2 o’clock, May 7, 1892, aged 65 years.
Mr. Kellogg has been sick since February last, and for weeks it has been known that there was no hope of recovery. Mr. Kellogg was born in Huron county, Ohio, was married in 1860. His funeral was held from his late residence on north Jefferson street on Monday afternoon, Rev. W.R. Cole officiating under the direction of the I.O. of O.F., who performed the last sad rites and ceremonies over the remains of their deceased brother. Thus, the well-known faces – so long familiar on our streets – are one by one passing on to that other shore. Mr. Kellogg was a good man and his death is deeply regretted.
