William Calhoun's Services Held

William Calhoun, 78, passed away March 17 at 11:45 p.m. after being a patient in the Iowa University hospital for 19 days.

William Harrison Calhoun was born January 2, 1876 to James R Calhoun and Parasetta Markum. September 26, 1901 he married Margaret Jane Brown and she passed away July 1, 1947.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Vada Vincent, Loveland, Colo; and the following children; Bert Calhoun, Burlington; Mrs. Bonnie Bice, Riverside, Calif.; and Aubrey Calhoun, New London.

Services wee held March 20, at 2 p.m. in the Elliott Chapel. The Rev. Richard E. Starkey officiated. Burial was in the Brook cemetery.

Mrs. Jean Riepe and George Elliott sang, "Only a Dream" and "Sometime We'll Understand" accompanied by Mrs. E. E. Wessel on the organ.

Pallbearers were Denver Brown, Arch, Wilbur and Woodrow Brown, Tom Martin, and Ernest Wellington.
