Kathryn L. Schadt, 75, of Clinton, formerly of rural Fairfield and the Mt. Pleasant area, died Sunday November 16, 1997 at Samaritan North Hospital in Clinton.

She was born November 5, 1922 in Brighton, the daughter of Chalres E. and Abigail P. McBride Bonnett. On Feb. 16, 1942, she married Everett E. Schadt in Memphis, Missouri.

She graduated from Brighton High School and received a B.A. from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant. She was an elementary school teacher in rural Jefferson County schools and in Stockport for 19 years.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Harlan D. of Bettendorf and Daniel C. of Clinton; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Renshaw of Mesa, Ariz.; along with 13 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 19 at the Community Congregational U. C. C. in Clinton with Rev. E. Leon Wilhite and Rev. Daniel C. Schadt officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 P.M. at the White Oak Cemetery, rural Mt. Pleasant. There will be no visitation.

Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, is in charge of the arrangements.
