Lillie N. Rich, 82, Wayland, passed away Sunday, February 26, 1984 at 6:25 A.M. at Parkview Home, Wayland. Born August 16, 1901 at Wayland, the daughter of Albert and Ella Kinney Bain, she was married to Forest Rich on December 20, 1922 at Mt. Pleasant. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1965.

She was a member of the Green Mound Church of God, rural Wayland.

Survivors include two sons, Donald J. Rich, Wayland, and Phillip Albert Rich, Mt. Pleasant, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gladys, Mrs. Floyd Norton; Lucille, Mrs. John Billingsley, and Opal, Mrs. Urban TeBockhorst, Kalona, and a niece, Oleta Keifer of Kalona who was raised in the Bain home.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services were held from the Green Mound Church of God Wednesday February 29, 1984 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Ralph Draper in charge. Music was by pianist Mrs. Ralph Draper and vocal duet by Richard and Lynette Dunn. Serving as casket bearers were Allen Rich, Jr., Robert Hill, Max Norton, Joe TeBockhorst, Rex Sinn, James Keifer. Interment was in the Greenmound Cemetery. A memorial has been established for either the Green Mount Church or Cemetery or Parkview Home.

Beatty Funeral Home, Wayland, was in charge of arrangements.
