Morris "Gregg" Richard of Round Lake Beach Friends of the family of Morris "Gregg" Richard, 68, formerly of Eldridge, Iowa, may visit from 3 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Long Creek Cemetery in Danville, Iowa. Visitation will also be from 12 noon until 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Elliott Funeral Home in New London, Iowa. Born July 31, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Morris (Dick) and Irene (nee Blagg) Richard, he passed away Saturday, July 2, 2005, in Elk Grove Village. Mr. Richard married Sandra Sue Mehaffy on Oct. 21, 1960, in Danville. He was a member of the 1954 graduating class of Mount Pleasant High School, Mount Pleasant, Iowa. He then attended Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant. He was honorably discharged from the Army as a private E-2 in 1957. He retired from J.I. Case (Case Corporation/CNH) where he worked as a quality control engineer for 33 years in Bettendorf, Iowa and Burr Ridge. At the time of his death, Gregg worked for State Financial Bank in Third Lake, Ill. and was a member of the United Protestant Church in Grayslake. Gregg loved and was loved by all who knew him and he will be missed. Gregg was the beloved husband of Sandra; loving father of Cynthia (Dale) Gray of West Allis, Wis., Lori (Robert) Hayes of Grayslake and Renee (Tim) Kemnetz of Frederick, Colo.; proud grandfather of Amanda Gray, Katelyn Kemnetz, Cody Gray, Matthew Kemnetz, Cally Hayes, Andrew Kemnetz and Isabella Hayes; fond brother of Marcia (Bill) Dunbar; loving brother-in-law of Jean (the late Wilbur) Lucas, the late Jack (Wanda) Mehaffy, Rodney (Darlene) Mehaffy and Meredith Mehaffy; and dear uncle and great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris "Dick" Richard and Florence "Irene" Blagg; and his niece, Deborah Dunbar. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 180 N. Michigan, Suite 1870, Chicago, IL 60601, or the Children's Ministry, c/o United Protestant Church, 54 S. Whitney St., Grayslake, IL 60030
